Version 1.5

Ask Saucier, plan the week, and keep cooking timers close.

The week ahead

  • Plan breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks from the recipes you have saved.
  • Set servings for each meal, then turn the whole week into one grocery list grouped by aisle. Tick items off, share the list or send unticked items to Reminders.
  • See approximate calories and macros for a recipe with a new nutrition beta. It shows which ingredients contributed and where the estimate came from.
  • Recipes, Week and Ask Saucier now have their own tabs.

Ask Saucier

  • A new assistant you can ask about a recipe while you cook — substitutions, timings, what a step means, or what you could make with what you have.
  • Answers come back as cards rather than walls of text: tap an ingredient to tick it off, see a step on its own, convert an amount, or scale the recipe for more people.
  • Talk to it hands-free. It listens, answers out loud, and listens again.
  • Everything runs on your device. Nothing you ask leaves your phone.

Cook mode

  • Times and temperatures inside a step are now tappable — tap a time to set a timer for it.
  • Ingredients mentioned in a step are highlighted and link to your checklist.

Timers

  • Timers are visible everywhere now, not only inside cook mode, with a new On Now screen listing everything you have on the go.

iPhone Duo

  • Built for both displays: the library and a recipe side by side when open, and controls on the side bar when closed.
  • The app now rotates, for the poses that need it.

Fixes

  • “1 1/2 hours” no longer sets a two hour timer.
  • Recipe names with an & in them no longer show as &.
  • Adding an ingredient to your grocery list now confirms it worked.
