The week ahead

A week of meals, one grocery list

Give your saved recipes a place in the week. Saucier turns the meals you plan into a grocery list you can use at the shop or send to Reminders.

Saucier's Meal Plan screen with breakfast, dinner, snack and lunch recipes placed on different days.

Put your recipes on the calendar

Choose a saved recipe for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack on any day of the week. Set the servings for that meal without changing the original recipe, and move or remove it when plans change. The Week tab sits beside Recipes and Ask Saucier, so the plan is easy to reach while you cook.

Shop for the whole week

The grocery list gathers ingredients from every planned meal. It scales amounts where the recipe has a serving count, combines matching items, and groups them by aisle. Saucier keeps unlike units separate rather than guessing that cups and grams mean the same thing.

Tick items as you shop. You can share the list as text or send the unticked items to Reminders. The ticks are for this shopping trip; the plan remains ready for the next one.

See what an estimate is based on

Saucier can estimate calories, protein, carbohydrates and fat for a recipe. This is a beta feature: amounts in recipes are often approximate, and some ingredients cannot be matched. The estimate shows its ingredient coverage and source rather than presenting a single number as a fact.

Nutrition estimates use the on-device model where Apple Intelligence is available. You can also choose USDA FoodData Central with your own free API key in settings. The weekly plan and grocery list do not require nutrition to be turned on.

Your meal plan stays on this device for now. Saved recipes still sync through your own iCloud account.

Questions

Does the meal plan sync over iCloud?

Not yet. Your recipes sync through iCloud, but the week you plan is stored on the device where you made it.

Can I use the grocery list in Reminders?

Yes. The list stays in Saucier while you shop, and you can send the items you have not ticked off to your Reminders grocery list.

Are nutrition numbers exact?

No. Nutrition estimates are a beta feature. Saucier shows how many ingredients contributed to the estimate and where the figures came from, so you can judge how much to trust them.
